CrossFit is about taking responsibility for yourself
You will be handed all the tools you need to become that version of you that you always wanted to be, but first, you need to master the basics. The Foundation Course is there to ensure that all participants know how to perform the movements safely Safe efficient technique ensures you get the most out of the program and are not a danger to your self or other athletes. Some of the movements are complex and require a high-degree of coordination and body control: these movements are best taught in a special series of progressions which allows people to learn the movement pattern more easily. Athletes who have not gone through the learning progressions often develop flawed movements patterns which effects their performance in the longer term. Our fully qualified, experienced coaches will take you through the basic movements and lifts that you will require to become a safe and competent crosfitter. You will learn how to squat, press, deadlift, snatch, clean & jerk, how to master the basic gymnastic movements and a whole host of other exercises. Our foundation course classes run over a period of 2 days. Our Coaches will take you through all the different skill sets needed for CrossFit and once they feel you are ready and confident to progress to the next level you can start attending the WODs and other classes that are on offer here.
It is called a foundation course for a reason – nothing solid and permanent is built without great foundations Whether you are an experienced athlete or a complete beginner, the course will help you master these movements and get you ready for the daily WOD (workout of the day). The course will run over a weekend at 8-10 am on a Saturday and Sunday. Spaces are limited so if you want to get started book in here for our next foundation course. One-2-One Foundation Classes - Personal Training for the foundation classes will get you through to the next stage quickly and efficiently with a dedicated coach watching and coaching you through every skill and discipline you will be ready to take on those WODs in no time.
